Red Sox suck anyways, about time she wizened up!

First win at Citi field! It was a good game, glad I got to see the new HR apple rise up, although that this is truely massive, so much larger than the old one (which btw, I'm highly skeptical that the one you posed with, is the actual original. Look at photos of the old one, it was much more beat up, and was made with like extremely thin aluminum, this looks like a fake...)

To comment on the security question I raised in the other thread, I was extremely satisfied with how the handled things. Everyone was free to walk around field level, which was very nice, and they had an usher at each row, preventing people from switching seats. The Excelsior level they have ushers at the stairwells, and you need Ceasar's club tickets or better to even get access to that entire level, which is also very nice. All the clubs have people checking tickets, so in general, it shouldn't be an issue at all.

I was extremely impressed with the stadium, it offers so much to do and see, no wonder so many people spent most of the game up and about. That's a very strong contrast to Shea, where you basically sat at your seat, and only got up for food, which there was an extremely limited variety of. Also, the bathrooms stairwells and other obscure places have radio coverage of the game, and anywhere you can't see the field, there's at least one Plasma TV that you can watch the game on. Finally, I was astounded at the soundproofing of the clubs and shops. At shea, even in the diamond club, if the croud was getting loud, you could feel the stadium shake, and hear the muffled roar. At Citi Field, it's dead silent when you enter those areas, and there's no energy from the stadium and the crouds which I thought was really weird.

Yeah, I was happy to see they still let everyone around the same as at the exhibition games. lol they even installed cup holders for the people standing on the bridge where I thought they would start chasing them away. The atmosphere was a LOT better today with it being an actual game, crowd was much more into it which was the one thing that threw the whole feel of the place off at the exhibition games. It was also nice sitting on field level for my first time at a Mets game.

Yea, I the atmosphere is a bit weird still. I was sitting on the Excelsior level, just to the left of the Accela club, where there's a wall behind my section. As far as the crowd noise, it was extremely different from shea. I couldn't really hear the decks above or below, and my area was small. The seats in left field were extremely weird, because that's where most of the crowd noise I could hear came from. Seems like that area had more active fans than the rest of the ballpark.

My wife says it's ok, since the Red Sox were no longer a loosing cause that Che needed a new team, lol...
