Seem to be spending more time in jails then asylums lately {SMILIES_PATH}/cheesy.gif

This was my first time shooting with my new 50mm. I love this lens! It makes me look at things completly different, and I'm taking shots I never would have before and that are so much better then how I would have taken the lazy way out and shot the whole room with my 18. Also did a lot of messing around with depth of field. I lefft out a lot of those even though I liked them and just put a few cause the cell blocks all kind of look the same. And theres a few pics mixed in from my old lens when I needed wider.

I think some of these, especially the first few are the best I've ever shot.

very stunning photos. did you find out if it was just the AF on your lens acting up or the camera body?
and how do you like the new lens?

5 looks sick, almost as if you used a tilt-shift lens. Anything in that case in the second from the bottom?

Nope, empty, I had to check though lol.



very stunning photos. did you find out if it was just the AF on your lens acting up or the camera body?
and how do you like the new lens?


The new lens is amazing. I think the contacts on the lens were dirty which was causing the auto focus problem, they cleaned everything up at the store and now it focuses fine with all the lenses.

Amazing! Nice stuff jails always seem cool to explore but this set makes me want to get up and do it now! And in the third picture is that guys last name weeney?

Split Image in Smithtown. I know all the guys there, highly recommend it.

They were both designed by the same architect, who also did Eastern State.
